What is the origin? Beginning in June 1999 launched the project of the National Training Center and Craft Design (CENCADAR), created with the participation of the University of Colima, Colima state government through its Ministry of Culture and National Council for Culture and the Arts through the General Directorate of Popular Culture. The central purpose is to affect CENCADAR responsibly in artisanal production and design, both traditional and modern type, training of artisans and fashion designers to solve urgent problems and requirements that have to do with the quality, design and functionality of objects, learning new techniques, the efficient organization of work processes, the rational use of raw materials, marketing and administration and management of production units, always taking into account the symbolic values of objects
